Nathaniel 'Nate' Toshiyuki Kato
A ninja and former CIA SAD of Oklahoma origin. Nathaniel's ancestry can be traced back for centuries of Iga ninjas. An expert of close combat and unconventional warfare. Since childhood, he has been introduced of ninjutsu which will be his biggest asset on his career later. Due to his eccentric and out of box method of operations, he is feared and nicknamed 'Al - Tous' during his employment in Private Echelon Corporation as a Chunin (Middle Officer) then rises into Jonin (The highest rank in ninja hierarchy, according to the company's ranks). He was first portrayed as a serious stoic person but later especially in the last series, he was shown to show humor when he asks a US Navy SEAL team leader who calls in Cajun accent what the capital of New Orleans is to identify him. He is fluent in English, Japanese and Russian. Though battle hardened and his units to have received brunt of fightings, he never carries war home. He is later the husband of Shiori Ito, his former bodyguard and a father of two, Brandon and Alyson Kato.
Shiori Ito
A ninja and former CIA of mysterious origin. Similar with Nate, her ancestry can be traced back of Koga ninjas. She is an excellent sniper. She is also fluent in English, Japanese, Russian and French. Unlike Nate, Shiori spent much of her early years in Japan. It was unclear how CIA recruited her. Her first appearance was in 'Exit' when she was a CIA agent trapped in Chechnya under pursuit of local insurgents and saved by Nate. Her personality is more traditional, serious and reserved compared with Nathaniel Kato which later becomes a major disagreement between them, especially when she sees it often sends Nate into reckless actions which might cause her to lose him. Her ability is described as 'almost similar with Nathaniel Kato'. She later marries Nathaniel and a mother of two.
Samuel ' Sam' Kenichi Nakajima
Nathaniel's first trusted subordinate and later his Valkyrie Unit bodyguard leader. A former Green Berret whose expertise is in engineering and technology. One of his task is to substitute Nate when he is not in office. First seen in action in Iraq leading Nate's ninjas. He is later killed in Bahrain after defending Nate from horde of insurgents during Manama Hostage Situation.
The Jonin (Stanley Eikichi Nomura)
Private Echelon Corporation's first CEO, a former US Navy SEAL. Nate's superior in Private Echelon. He first appears in Pirates versus Privateers when calls Nate from his vacation in Cyprus. He later rises into a member of the company's board of commisioner and the first person who decides to take Nate back to the states when he hears about incident which involves Nate in Afghanistan.
Matthias Kowalczyk
A former GROM recruited by Nate in replecement of Nakajima. He was heavily wounded in a sword fighting against Iranian Pasdarans in Siege of Jahandar. He survives the siege.
Captain Jason Harry Cunningham
A middle aged former Royal Air Force Scottish transport pilot who later becomes Nate's private jet pilot and credited for his emergency landing which saves Nate. He was saved by Nate's ninjas from the jet's cockpit before it explodes. His action against an insurgent triggers a battle known as Siege of Jahandar. He survives the siege.
Russian Spetsnaz
Colonel Dimitry Petrovich
A battle hardened and experienced Spetsnaz who endured the first and second Chechen War. He was first seen in 'Exit' as a locally garrisoned Spetsnaz tasked to track the trail of foreign men who later are Nathaniel and Shiori. He was first Nate's opponent but later after learns about Nate's true mission, he saves Nate by warding off an insurgent attack wave who nearly overruns Nate. He meets again with Nate and work together in Bahrain in Nate's personal War to rescue Russians who are trapped inside the conflict. Like Nate, the colonel is a father but has lost his son in Beslan and suffers from emotional wound caused by the loss of his son. Later when he sees Nate's son, Brandon, saved in Manama, Bahrain, he receives healing of his emotional wound.
Lieutenant Alexey Vladimirevich Vaknin
Colonel Petrovich's trusted subordinate. He first saw Nate in Chechnya and the only Spetsnaz who wasn't involved in fighting against the ninjas. He is later killed in Bahrain in defending against horde of insurgents.
CIA (Central Intelligence Agency)
Brandon DeSantis
Nate's superior in CIA who tasks him to save Agent Rose or Shiori Ito in Chechnya. First appears in Exit.
Steve 'Bob' James Henderson
Nate's former Colleague in CIA SAD. He was first seen assisting Nate inside a plan who takes him to Chechnya.
Afghan Civilians
Aslan Ghalzi
The first son of Heydar Ghalzi, a tribal leader and chief of Jahandar Village. He has a major role in Siege of Jahandar assisting Nate. He survives the war and succeeds his father to become the village's new chief.
Doctor Fuad Ghalzi
Aslan Ghalzi's uncle. A retired doctor and medical personnel in Kabul who supervises Captain Cunningham's emergency medical treatment during Siege of Jahandar.
ANA (Afghan National Army)
Jawzeed Khan
A courageous Captain of Afghan National Army. He has a major role in Siege of Jahandar by leading the village's volunteers. He is killed when his tank destroyed by rocket launcher while covering Nate and Ghalzi's retreat in a hill where the ninjas, Captain Cunningham and villagers take refuge.
New Iraqi Army
Salim
A Lieutenant in New Iraqi Army who works for Private Echelon Corporation in Iraq. First appears assisting Nate in a mission. After unintentionally left behind by Nate's ninjas in a rush escape from Fallujah, his fate is unknown.
Iranian Forces
Gulzar Azghari
An Iranian Colonel who holds a vendetta against Nate. He appears first as an unknown Iranian Pasdaran found and wounded by Nate and his ninjas on their mission in Fallujah. Surviving Nate's attack and Second Battle of Fallujah, he makes his way home and finds his life shattered by his previous unknown fate in Iraq. He then seeks who holds responsibility over the ninja attack. After finding that the person is Nate, he waits until he has a chance in Nate's visit to Afghanistan. He is later killed on a last samurai style fighting against Nate near Kabul River in Afghanistan.
Arman
Gulzar's subordinate who is tasked to search Jahandar Village for Nate's presence. He is wounded and captured by the ninjas and villagers in the first shootout on the village. He is later died of his wounds.
